- Do I need a student visa to study in Kenya? Yes, to study in Kenya, most international students outside of the East African Community (EAC) and designated countries with special bilateral agreements will need a student visa. We can offer advice and assistance with the visa application procedure.
- How can I apply for a student visa? The application process for a student visa differs depending on your place of residency and the host country’s specific criteria. For more information, we recommend visiting the official government websites and contacting the nearest embassy or consulate.
- Can I work while studying as an international student? Employment regulations for international students differ per country. International students may be permitted to work part-time on or off campus in specific instances. We can advise you on the precise legislation and work permit requirements that apply to your circumstance.
- How can I find housing near the campus? Our university provides a variety of accommodation alternatives, including on-campus and off-campus living. We can help you find acceptable housing near campus by providing resources and counselling, as well as information on the application process and available resources.
- What support services are available for international students? International students are provided with full support services by our International Student Services Office. This includes help with immigration and visas, cultural adjustment support, health and wellness resources. We are here to assist you with your international education experience journey.
- How can I get involved in campus activities and student organisations? International students are encouraged to participate actively in campus events and student societies. You can attend club fairs, orientation activities, and join organisations that interest you. Our International Student Services Office can help you learn about different student organisations and how to get involved.
- What should I do if I experience culture shock or homesickness? International students frequently endure culture shock and homesickness. To assist you in navigating these issues, our International Student Services Office provides information, workshops, and counselling services. We invite you to contact us for assistance and to connect with other international students who may be going through similar situations.
- How can I access healthcare services as an international student? We can provide information about international students’ access to healthcare services, including as health insurance requirements, on-campus clinics, and local healthcare providers. It is critical to become acquainted with your host country’s healthcare system and to ensure that you have enough health insurance coverage.
